I want to take this post to thank everyone for their support these past two weeks. My friends at home, I greatly appreciate you reading my blog, even though I know you may not agree with what I always write. To my family, sending me emails, texts, and calling me to let me know how proud and happy…
Rosalyn, Hannah, and Morgan:
Your posts indicate you have really taken in so much during your trips. Your assignments have encouraged you to see the political process from the point of view of someone selling concessions, delegate, and nomminee. That will help you understand this Campaign 2012 as we discuss the different groups in the electorate. I am also glad to hear that you all refuse to let anyone keep you out of the process. Finally, you all have learned the importance of networking. There are lots of people out there wanting to help you learn and succeed. Don’t be afraid to ask, and sometimes don’t be afraid to demand. Learn what these people do so you can take over for them or take power from them. Professor Harmon
Hello everyone! I am sitting at my desk, back in San Antonio, and could not be happier. I finally caught up on my sleep, did laundry, and got to take a shower with proper water flow. I had a great time at the DNC in Charlotte, but was so ready to come home. Missing so much class was stressing me…
Hello everyone! Sorry my Tumblr has been a bit vacant lately, my phone won’t really cooperate with the app and I’ve been too busy to actually sit down and type out a final journal. I’m currently back in my apartment in San Antonio… I got here around noon because I had a flight that left at 6:47…

Wow. Every day seems to be infinitely better than the last.
At 6:30 this morning, I was placed in the motorcade dispatch room. That’s basically the crucial link for VIPs who are looking for a safe way to get into the building and then to the executive floors. My job was even easier today than it…
This morning, news came out that President Obama’s speech would be moving from the Bank of America Stadium to the Time Warner Cable Arena. This is a huge, huge deal because Bank of America holds 55,000 people, while Time Warner only holds 15,000. This DNC was supposed to be one of the most “open…
Today is more of a diary, I promise that when I get back to San Antonio and get some sleep I will analyze and give more in-depth insight on what I thought of the speeches! Bruce, Melissa, and I (who are all in TWC and work security together) started our day by getting stuck in a police…
I am so proud to be from San Antonio right now.
Mayor Castro’s speech was absolutely incredible. He did a number of amazing things in the short time he had to speak to the Democratic National Convention. To begin, I think Mayor Castro painted a very accurate picture of families in America. I’ve…
Today had a lot of ups and downs.
I woke up at 4:00 am and was at the Convention Center by 6:00. We took a cab to a lightrail station and then walked just over half of a mile to get there. We checked in, and then as a group of about fifty headed over to the Time Warner Cable Arena. The Washington…
